There are many questions in the mind of Brida. She tries hard to find all the answers correctly. Paulo Coelho has tremendously shown her quest. She practices witchcraft in the story. In the middle of the story, Brida seems to attach in a triangle love story.

The fundamental question of the novel is about the soul mate. The truth of the concept “made for each other” is the searching matter in Paulo Coelho’s writing.

His literary work is recommended reading in several universities and since October 2002 is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters.

Just as the journey along the Camino de Santiago inspired Coelho to write El Peregrino, the march along the Camino de Roma inspired Brida.

In this work, he tells the real story of a beautiful young Irish woman who wanted to be a witch, but together with her search, she discovered that love is the only fear to reach the spiritual world and that it transfigures us because when we love, we want to be better. What we are.

“Brida” is a book of sorcery, witchcraft, it is the discovery of the gift that each person carries inside. Its theme revolves around the story of a twenty-one-year-old girl who wanted to be a witch, and she succeeded, but to make her dream come true, she had to overcome many obstacles.

That’s why I chose this work. Because the story of this girl, Brida, to get what she wants, is similar to the trajectory of each person day after day, to achieve what they are looking for and fail to make. And I think it’s interesting how the author Paulo Coelho writes about this adventure.

Brida is the story of a young woman who managed to reach her goal. Despite all the obstacles he had to overcome, he had the strength to keep going. Many times he thought he was not capable, and thought about quitting fighting, but he never did. He always kept going until he got what he was looking.
